Drum Kit cover/practice mute pads?
Didnt find a a forum for music instruments so just ask here!
I currently have a electronic drum kit, and looking to purchase a acoustic kit. However i live in a semi-detached house, the loudness of an acoustic kit is a bit extreme for where i live! i just need an acoustic kit to practice and for when i eventually join a band!
These practice cover pads you can get too quieten down the kit, and reduce the sound level. Are these good at doing the job? do they reduce the sound level to a acceptable level for a house? or is it still a bit too much?

They take away all the rattle and clash but if you're playing properly then you still tend to be left with quite loud thuds, especially from the pedal. Definitely worth a try though, if your neighbours are willing to put up with it then it'll mean far more practice time than trying to wait until you think everyone's out! And if they object, demonstrate the volume they can expect from the normal kit without the pads and see how they react
